New Hobbit Poster! Urban on Dredd! Michael Keaton’s Birdman! Paul Hollywood judging Darth Vader?

Evening guys!  Here tonight are a few news stories that we’ve picked out from today worth telling you about.

Cos we totes be nice like that!

Quite.  Anyway, first up is;

New The Hobbit: BOFA poster hits the web

With his serious face on and with Sting aiming alarmingly at our fundamentals.  Our once timid Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, is now coming near to the end of this epic saga.  Empire magazine gave us this lovely tid bit which we can’t wait to watch.

I wants my own Sting sword!

Karl Urban talks Dredd sequel

At a recent Star Trek convention, Karl Urban,

He’s a sexy bum with a sexy chin!

*sigh* yes, I know.  Karl Urban, who plays Dr McCoy “Bones” in J.J. Abrams Star Trek, briefly spoke about how much attention he gets about the film Dredd and the possibility of a sequel.  Taken from, he had this to say;

I’m incredibly proud of that film and it means a lot to me,” he said. “And there are a lot of people working very, very hard to deliver a sequel because it is amazing how many people come up to me and say, ‘I really would like to see another installment of that film.’ I’m meeting with the filmmakers actually on this trip and there’s a lot of people trying to make it happen. If it does happen, it’s going to be phenomenal and if it’s just a one-off event, then so be it, but we’re trying.

Alan!  We both loved that film!  Especially the Lena Headey doing her Peter Pan moment.

Yeah to be fair it was kind of a cool film.  Let’s hope the sequel gives us a little more Mega City One!

And more Urban-chin!

Bond Villain Geoffrey Holder and Cool Runnings writer Michael Goldberg recently pass away

Sad news for today.  According to BBC News Entertainment, Geoffrey Holder of the James Bond film Live and Let Die fame has passed away in New York aged 84.

Geoffrey Holder was most famously known as Baron Samedi.  The voodoo villain that was Roger Moore’s adversary in the film Live and Let Die.  The Tony-winning actor was also a dancer and a choreographer whose works also included Annie (1982) and Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Alas it is also our sad duty to report that Michael Goldberg, screenwriter for the film Cool Runnings, has passed away on the 2nd of October, suffering from brain and sinus cancer.

His work included Snow Dogs with Cuba Gooding Jr and Little Giants starring Rick Moranis.

Cool Runnings was loosely based on the 1988 Jamaican bobsled team.  The 1993 film was a huge success for both young and old alike.

IMDb exclusive pictures of Michael Keaton’s Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

Following IMDb’s tweets, they have shown a plethora of new stills for the upcoming Michael Keaton film Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).

Wait, is this the one where Hawkman goes over to the dark side?

Noooo, this is the film directed and written by Alejandro González Iñárritu (which is another way of saying, I am going to have the most complicated pronounced name that screws over the interviewer).  The film stars Michael Keaton as a washed-up actor who once played an iconic superhero character, who now has to overcome his personal problems so that he may create a Broadway play and relive his past glory.

…..Is it based on a true story?

Moving on!  The stills show the range of cast from Edward Norton to Zach Galifianakis and from what we’ve seen of the trailer.  This might be something worth watching.

I’m looking at the pictures now.  It defo looks like Hawkman went over to the dark side.  I bet he did it because they have cookies.  Dark side always be having cookies.  You can totes see Darth Vader be all like baking like Mary Berry and then he gives his result to Paul Hollywood and then Paul Hollywood said it’s all dry and then Darth Vader whipped out his pimp hand and said ‘They are not all dry because my mutha-fucking voice is Mufasa!’ and Paul Hollywood apologies and eats them all…………..I want cookies now.

….No more Skittles for you before bed.  Birdman is out next year.
