Biggest opening sequence for Bond! 2nd TV spot for Jurassic World! Hugh Jackman saying bye bye to Wolverine?!!!

Welcome to Almighty Popcorn!
Our heroes once again scour the interwebs finding the most interesting and relevant topics for your reading pleasure.  Whilst trying to not look at cute animals on YouTube.

Alan
Yeah.  Wait, what?  I don’t do that?!  I may watch a trailer more than once or pick up on Cinema Sins.  Who would watch cute…

Lewis
LOOK AT THE CUTE PUPPY IN A BUMBLEBEE OUTFIT!!

I sting you because I love you!

I sting you because I love you!

Alan
Never mind.

Bond producer that Spectre’s opening sequence will be “Biggest in Bond Histoy”

Spectre Poster Bond

Along with 7 new stills currently showing up on Empire magazine’s website, the stills show, or at least appears to show, Daniel Craig doing an homage to Mary Poppins over Mexico’s City’s roof tops, whilst the locals celebrate the Day of the Dead festival.

Chim chimey, chim chimney, chim chim cha roo!

The opening sequence for James Bond has always been one of the highlights, and signatures, of every Bond film.  It’s almost like a title card for each film.  And according to Bond Producer, Michael G Wilson, the opening sequence will be “the biggest opening sequence we’ve ever done, maybe the biggest sequence we’ve ever done”.

Lewis
Is this the place with the Latinas?

Alan
Close.  That’s South America.  This is Mexico, more Central America.  Think Selma Hayek.

Lewis
LET’S GO THERE!

Alan
And for what reason?

Lewis
Cos…you know…the boobies

Alan
…Moving on.  The pictures are a little sneak peek before the release of the film later this year.  With Sam Mendes still on the reigns and with the massive success with Skyfall, we’re very excited to see the next instalment.

The film stars Daniel Craig (now on his 4th Bond film), Lea Seydoux, Dave Batista, Ralph Fiennes, who will reprise his role as M, and Christoph Waltz.

Jurassic World second TV trailer spot released

Alan
RUUUUUUN screams Bryce Dallas Howard’s character Claire Dearing.  But not from the dinosaurs!  But hopefully to the cinema!  Yep, the second TV spot trailer, technically third if you include the official trailer..

Lewis
Fourth if you count the Lego one!

Alan
We’re not counting the Lego one.

Lewis
Nawww.

Alan
As I was saying, the third trailer to come out for the instalment of one of cinema’s most beloved franchises, Jurassic World.

Quick run-down of the trailer, it appears that the park has re-opened under the guidance and entrepreneurship of Claire Dearing, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, and it appears to be doing extremely well.  That is until their newest creation starts running amok, killing other dinosaurs, and releasing the pterodactyls in a way that we are imagining as the dinosaur yelling “FLY MY PRETTIES! FLY!”.  It’s up to game ranger Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to stop the beast from killing everyone on the island.

Lewis
This one wasn’t as good.  I wanted to see more Velociraptors taking more commands.  Like playing dead, or fetch, or have them sit around a table playing poker!!

Alan
They’re dinosaurs, not dogs!  And they’re not real!

Lewis
They are real!  Just dead!

Alan
*facepalm* The film comes out June 12th.

Lewis
The Lego videogame comes out the same month too! 😀

Hugh Jackman to be Wolverine no more

Time for a manicure!

Time for a manicure!

Alan
Unfortunately so.  The titular character that he has played seven times to date, announces on his Instagram account that he will no longer play the cigar chewing, adamantium-claw wielding Wolverine.  He first played the character back in 2000 with the release of the first X-Men film and jet propelled him into the starlight within Film Land.

Lewis
THIS NEWS DOES NOT MAKE LEWIS HAPPY!

Alan
I know buddy.  I know because you haven’t stopped complaining about it.

Lewis
Tell him Alan!  Tell him he has to go on!  Go tell him now please.

Alan
*sigh* He’s not the only one that’s upset I’m afraid.  I too will gladly miss the actor play his most iconic role.  With Marvel/Disney bringing a buffet of films to the table in the next 3 years, it is undoubtedly so that they will bring more X-Men films into the fold and as such, it will mean a replacement to fill in the very big boots, Hugh Jackman is leaving behind.

We will say this to Hugh!  He played the character very well, we take our hats off to you good sir, and to the casting director Roger Mussenden who chose you.  You will be greatly missed.

Lewis
I don’t want to cry!  I want to give Mr Hugh Jackman all the cwtchs in the world!
